Michael “Bird” Shaffer is one of the pioneers of speedriding in Chamonix. For more than twenty years, he has been pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, skiing some of the valley’s most beautiful and intimidating lines. His wing has always given him a unique kind of freedom, the ability to soar over seracs, bypass rappels, and turn obstacles into seamless passages. A true superpower.
Today, he continues to build on that legacy, skiing and flying the most iconic lines in the Chamonix Valley with the same mindset that has driven him from the very beginning: a pursuit of purity, fluidity, and, above all, the simple joy of being in the mountains.
